If you’re reading this, then you may be worrying your life away. Most medical experts say that excessive worrying effects your mental health as well as your physical well-being. I’m not a medical expert, but I’m certain that too much worrying can be very stressful. So take a big heaping dose of stop-it, start taking your daily action vitamins and start living.
Why do we worry?
Essentially I think for the most part people worry because something they perceive to be bad might actually happen. What if you didn’t worry? The answer is simple…either it will or will not occur. So why worry, it doesn’t resolve anything.
Let’s say a lion or something life threatening is chasing you downtown on your way to work. What do you do worry or take action? Probably a combination I’m thinking. What I’m trying to portray is not all worry is bad as long as there is some a** biting action behind you backing it up!
Take action make a worry list.
This is very complex write down what you’re worried about and decided if it’s productive or unproductive. In case you’ve forgotten already I said earlier worry is unproductive unless it’s worry with action. I know you have anxiety left-overs on your list. The items on your list written in blood that you refuse to mark out. Yes, those worries. Move them to your action list!
I’m so proud, you are seriously close to out running that damn downtown lion that’s chasing you! I know that not all worry is created equal and some are damn right unfortunate. The worry that can be fought you will have to match it with superior action. It won’t be easy of course it’s a jungle out there you have to keep moving.
Then you haven’t taken enough action or the right action. Don’t give up and always remember with action you’re one step closer to a worry free life. I highly recommend Dale Carnegie’s classic book How to Stop Worrying and Start Living – 6 million copy bestseller and recently revised, known for helping millions to overcome the worry habit.
